Traditional Teachings  


The Native Canadian Centre of Toronto presents an opportunity for visitors of the festival to hear and meet with some of the most distinguished First Nations Elders and Healers. Discussions on traditional ways, including spirituality and healing will be among the many topics.

2:00 pm. - 2:20 pm Introduction, Opening Prayer & Welcome Song
2:20 pm - 4:00 pm Eddie Benton-Banai, Edna Manitowabi, Tom Porter, Jan Kahehti:io Longboat (All elders provide a brief overview of the main topic this year which is, HISTORY)
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Panel Discussion, Question & Answer period with audience
